This is a translation provided for convenience. The Russian version is the legally binding one — see the Russian version.
The Wyrmlands (Wyrmgate) project, wyrmgate.gg website. Effective date: June 30, 2026.
1. General Provisions
This Privacy Policy sets out the procedure for processing and protecting the personal data of users of the website wyrmgate.gg (the "Site") and the online game The Wyrmlands (the "Project"). The data controller for personal data processing is the Project's administration (the "Operator"). Contact for any questions regarding data processing and the exercise of data subject rights: wyrmgategg@gmail.com.
This Policy has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of Federal Law of the Russian Federation No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data", and, for users from the European Union / EEA, with regard to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679). By using the Site, submitting an application, or giving consent to the use of cookies, the user confirms their agreement with this Policy.
2. What Data Is Processed
2.1. Data you provide yourself — when signing up for the closed alpha test:
- email address;
- name or display name (if provided via the form or Google Sign-In).
2.2. Data collected automatically — only with your consent to analytics/advertising cookies (see Section 5). This includes: IP address, browser and device type and version, cookie identifiers and other online identifiers used by statistics services, pages viewed and actions taken on the Site, referral source, and advertising tags (UTM tags, gclid, and similar).
2.3. Data processed within the Game itself. While you use the Game, the Operator records technical and gameplay information necessary for its operation and improvement:
- identifiers of the game account, character, and game session (numeric, containing no name or email address);
- in-game actions and their results: character creation, battles, quests, travel, changes to game currency and items, interactions with other players;
- technical information about the client: browser family and major version, operating system family, window resolution, time zone offset, platform (browser or app), error messages;
- metadata of in-game chat messages (channel, time, message length, presence of a recipient) — without the content of the correspondence;
- answers to short in-game surveys, if you choose to respond to them (including any comment you write yourself).
For these purposes, the Operator does not collect: the content of chat messages and private correspondence, IP address, the full User-Agent string, digital browser or device "fingerprints", geolocation, or screen recordings.
Special categories of personal data (health, political views, etc.) are not requested or processed.
3. Purposes of Processing
- sending invitations to the closed alpha test and informing users about the launch, access waves, and important Project news;
- collecting anonymized traffic statistics and improving the operation of the Site (web analytics);
- evaluating the effectiveness of advertising campaigns;
- ensuring the security of the Site and protection against abuse;
- ensuring the operation of the Game, saving game progress, and correctly tallying game results;
- analyzing and improving gameplay in anonymized form (which mechanics are used, where players encounter difficulties), and identifying bugs and abuse.
4. Legal Grounds for Processing
Processing is carried out on the basis of the consent of the personal data subject (Article 6(1)(1) of Federal Law No. 152-FZ; Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by submitting an application/form and/or clicking "Accept" in the cookie banner. Basic security measures for the Site may be carried out on the basis of the Operator's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Consent may be withdrawn at any time (see Sections 8–9).
Processing of the gameplay and technical information specified in Clause 2.3 is carried out on the basis of the Operator's legitimate interest in ensuring the functionality, security, and quality of the Game (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; Article 6(1)(5) of Federal Law No. 152-FZ). The consent to analytics and advertising cookies described in Section 5 does not apply to this information: it is processed on the Operator's server and is not transferred to third-party statistics services.
5. Cookies and Web Analytics
The Site uses cookies and statistics services. Analytics and advertising cookies are activated only after your consent is obtained via the cookie banner; if you select "Necessary only", they are not activated. A detailed list and instructions for managing them are provided in the Cookie Policy.
6. Disclosure to Third Parties and Cross-Border Transfer
The Operator does not sell personal data and does not disclose it to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Data may be processed with the involvement of processing services acting on the Operator's instructions and solely for the purposes specified:
- Google LLC — Google Sign-In and Google Analytics web analytics;
- Yandex — Yandex.Metrica web analytics;
- VK (Mail.ru) — advertising pixel and advertising performance measurement;
- Functional services — error monitoring and email delivery, to the extent necessary for the operation of the Site and the sending of invitations.
Some of these services may process data on servers located outside the Russian Federation and/or the European Economic Area. The legal basis for such cross-border transfer is your consent. The Operator takes reasonable measures to ensure that such transfer is accompanied by an appropriate level of data protection.
7. Retention Period
Personal data is stored until the purposes of processing are achieved or until the user withdraws consent — whichever occurs first, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Anonymized statistical data may be stored indefinitely.
Detailed records of game events and game sessions (Clause 2.3) are stored for no more than 180 days, after which they are automatically deleted. Anonymized daily aggregate metrics that do not allow identification of a specific user may be stored indefinitely.
8. User Rights
With respect to your personal data, you have the right to:
- obtain information about the processing and access to your data;
- request the clarification, correction, or blocking of inaccurate data;
- request the deletion (destruction) of data;
- withdraw previously given consent to processing;
- for users from the EU/EEA, additionally — the right to restrict processing, data portability, the right to object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Upon request, the Operator will delete or provide, in a machine-readable format, all records of game events, game sessions, and survey responses associated with your game account.
To exercise any of these rights, send a request to wyrmgategg@gmail.com. The Operator will review the request within the period established by applicable law.
9. Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw your consent at any time: by writing to wyrmgategg@gmail.com or by using the "unsubscribe" link in any email you receive. To disable web analytics, select "Necessary only" in the cookie banner or clear the Site's cookies and local storage in your browser settings.
10. Data Protection
The Operator takes reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect personal data against unlawful or accidental access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Data transfer between your browser and the Site is carried out over the secure HTTPS protocol.
11. Minors
The Site and the Project are not intended for persons under the age of 16. The Operator does not knowingly collect data from such persons; if such data is discovered, it is deleted.
12. Changes to the Policy
This Policy may be updated. The current version is always available at https://wyrmgate.gg/privacy.en.html. Material changes take effect upon publication of the new version.
